Question: I'm dating a gangsta and madly in love. He has robbed three banks and stolen four lawn mowers and is now on probation. I'm a 17 year old Hispanic girl.
Answers:
Ms. Mystery: Why on Earth do you want to date a criminal? Was your father a criminal and you're dealing with those issues? Are you rebelling? Either way you are caught up in the excitement and at your age you aren't ready to find a guy to settle down with. However, you deserve better than dating a criminal. Get away from him now!
You could easily end up in jail if you are with him at the wrong place at the wrong time - or even worse, you could get shot by cops if your guy makes a run for it or if they "think" he's armed and shoot you. This is the reality. You live only once, don't screw it up.
Mr. Know: When I read the headline at first, I thought you meant a "wanna be" gangster. Ok, he's not very smart. Robbing banks and lawnmowers just doesn't add up. He is either going to have to rob just banks or just lawnmowers. (Just kidding.) Here's my recommendation to you: Unless you
want to be a girlfriend or wife that sees her man once a month in jail for a visit, you have to either get rid of him or tell him to stop. Robbing banks is a serious offense (much more than robbing lawnmowers) and I do not think you have a future with this guy. If you had turned him in for robbing banks, you might have gotten a reward, used the money to go to Europe and meet some nice Italian guy on the beach. (Just kidding.) You are too young to bank your life on this loser. Get rid of him once and for all.
I know this is harsh but there are plenty of other hot guys out there that you can date without worrying whether you are going to be an accomplice to some robbery. And, oh, yeah, robbing is not a promising career no matter what you see in films.
P.S. Hmm...You may want to date a "wanna be" gangster to ease your pain. I just love it when I see middle class kids acting as gangsters from the hood as if they really know what struggle in life is all about. I'm sorry I'm making light of things but I feel your pain. Breaking up so hard to do. Good Luck.
