Long Distance Relationship: She Forgets about Me

Question: My girlfriend lives in another city so we meet on MySpace most of the time. She doesn't know this, but I can tell if she reads the messages I send her or not.

I send her about three messages a day, but I see that she only reads one or two of them. Sometimes she doesn't log on for a few days. That's fine, but I don't understand why she doesn't read all of my messages. Sometimes she calls and tells me to meet her online at a certain time and then she doesn't get on. She tells me the next day that "something came up" or that she forgot. I understand this once in a while, but it's happening more and more. When I call her, she doesn't seem happy to hear from me and I know she's been talking to other guys.

Is she getting tired of me? Am I sending her too many messages? Does she think I have no life other than her and that she can just call when she wants? Please help.

Mr. Know: I'm sorry, but I have some bad news for you. Your relationship is over, whether you like it or not. It's not really you, she just found someone else that she likes better. This happens to EVERYBODY, Even Mr. Know. There are plenty of

other fish in the sea. Open up your eyes, later on you'll realize she did you a favor, and send her a "thank you" card. Say "thanks" and nothing else.

Ms. Mystery: You are a smart guy. The fact that she does not read every single one of your messages shows you she doesn't really give a crap. If she's crazy about you she'll read every single one, at least once if not over and over. And a girl who cares would never forget about meeting up with you. Sure, things can come up - but only rarely. Forget this one. You want someone who cares and is there for you and isn't too busy flirting with others.

Text messaging and email are a terrible way to communicate. So many things can easily be understood. If you can hear a person's voice, it adds a lot to the communication. Use the phone if you can't see a girl in person.
