Question: I'm casually seeing a guy, but I want it to be more. I'm not sure is he wants more. I can't just ask him what he wants. How can I tell if he's serious or this is just a fling? Are there some signs to look for?
Answers:
Ms. Mystery: Hey, girl! Slow down. The guy is the one who usually takes the
lead. Guys love to take the lead, so you need to make him chase you. Don't start chasing him
and wanting more or you'll only chase him away. And don't always answer your phone when he calls. Don't always be available.
I'm sure you have a life and don't sit around waiting for him. Guys love the chase. NEVER EVER forget that.
And if he is serious, here's the clue: He'll talk about doing
things with you in the future. That means next weekend, tomorrow, next Spring, anything.
Mr. Know: Wow, you're giving me a big headache. I'm going to have to have a drink just listening to you psychobabble. Stop mental masturbating. You're already trying to get serious, or married without even knowing if you really like the guy. He could end up being a total jerk after the first few dates, or he could be prince charming. I don't know how old you are, but if you are under 30, have some fun! Forget about being serious.
The easiest way to solve your psycho-babble dilemma is just to ask him. Guys love when girls are direct. Ask him if he wants to date or just have fun. But don't ask if he is serious about you. That will scare him.

To know if the guy is serious, why don't you ask him about the real status of your relationship especially if you have been going out for a couple of times and observe his actions towards you if he means what he says and say what he means. However, if you are just in the beginning of your date just enjoy the moment and the attention you are getting from the guy. Know more of the guy first before you take things seriously because you might misinterpret his actions and end up breaking your own heart.
